Preventive Dentistry & Sealants
Maintaining
excellent dental health is easy.
To start, schedule
an appointment with us for an examination. At that time, our dental hygienist
will discuss regular check-ups in which the teeth are X-rayed for early
detection of problems; plaque is removed from the teeth, and the teeth
are polished. Between visits, paying careful attention to brushing and
flossing and eating a well-balanced diet, reducing sugars and starches
and increasing fresh fruits and vegetables, will result in a clean, healthy
smile .
When a child
turns three, it's time for a dental visit. Pay special attention to your
child's primary or "baby" teeth to prevent decay. A healthy,
infection-free mouth invites healthy permanent teeth.
As part of
regular care, we may recommend sealants for children and adults on teeth
that show no decay.
