Treatment of the tooth's pulp is called endodontics. This treatment eliminates toothaches and saves teeth damaged in a fracture where an infection has formed. When the condition is left untreated, the tooth will have to be removed. Missing teeth must be replaced or the remaining teeth and jaw will be affected.
